From Ethnic Rivalries to Unified Team Management: Navigating Challenges in High-Stress Environments

Learn about how we worked with the newly formed government of Sarajevo after the Bosnian War, to build bridges, drive trust, collaboration, and communication among disparate factions. The challenges were not just professional but deeply personal, rooted in the traumatic experiences of the war. Employees contended with emotional challenges arising from engagements with demanding stakeholders, intricate organizational structures, and a rigorous work milieu. Our job was to provide empathy, drive understanding, and establish framework that would help support everyone in their day to day functions as they began to rebuild.

Revitalizing Trust: Modernizing the Bosnian Presidency's Operations

In tandem with our other work in Sarajevo, we led an effort to help modernize the electronic filing and knowledge management system for the office of the Bosnian President. The initial attempt to implement new technologies and systems failed, as it was not user friendly or aligned with their day to day operations. The challenge, in this project, was to refocus on the human aspect of the work and to rebuild trust, and this required a restart using a new approach.

Change Management: Restoring Employee Wellbeing

This initiative was run on behalf of the Austrian Foreign Service. The governmental organization faced challenges stemming from its operational model of frequent global relocations and role transitions for employees, leading to workplace stress and psychological strain. Through qualitative and quantitative research with the diplomatic core of 2,000 members, we were able to identify the leading causation of stressors and create programs and policies specifically designed to reduce stress and p
